Yes, how are you all?
Friends, in this blog you will know about the Cast Category, which cast belongs to OC, General, BC, OBC, SC, and ST. Also BC has Creamy and Non Creamy layer, who comes in it will also know about it. And what is the Difference between BC and OBC category and also a little history of the category will also be given,
When the country became independent in 1947, the government of that time conducted a survey, in which they saw which castes were Backward, and a list of these Backward castes or categories was made and they were divided into different categories. They were divided into categories and on the basis of these, the government gave them admission in jobs, schools and colleges on different basis. And this scheme was implemented in the entire country, and each state made a list according to its own. And this category was made in 4 ways, OC, BC, SC, and ST.
Now let's go with more details about these categories
OC Category
First comes OC Category, its full form is Open Category, and General Category also comes in Open category, OC and OG Category are same, there is no difference. OC category special ranking is based on numbers means, whatever castes are in OC category they do not have any reservation in Punjab.
And friends, whatever caste comes in OC, BC, SC, ST, you can read at the end of this blog.
BC Category
And friends next category comes BC, The full form of BC is Backward Class. Meaning Backward Classes or Backward Castes
SC Category
The next category comes SC, The full form of SC is Scheduled Caste. Unscheduled clear castes come in it.
ST Category
Friends, the fourth (4) category comes in ST, the full form of ST is Scheduled Tribes, in ST, the castes who live in forests etc. are those whose Social status is low.
Friends, we are talking about Punjab in this blog and there is No forest in Punjab, so there are only three categories in Punjab, OC, BC, and SC.
9 Castes in OC.
119 Castes in BC.
139 Castes in OBC.
68 Castes in SC.
And in Punjab, along with BC category, OBC category also comes, and let's see what is the difference between it and society.
Friends, I have already told you the full form of BC (Backward Class) and the full form of OBC is Other backward class.
And friends, BC Certificate is from the State Government, and it is useful only at the state level, suppose you apply for a job in Punjab, then it will be BC, and based on this you will get a job, and the OBC Certificate is It belongs to Central Govt, and it will be useful for Central Govt Jobs etc. These certificates look the same but there is a difference between them, As you have been told that BC certificate is from the State Government and OBC certificate is from the Central Government, to know the difference between them you.
Check here in these certificates, the certificate in which Government of Punjab will be written, it will be BC State level certificate. And the certificate in which the Government of India will be written, that certificate will be of the Central Government. And when you apply these certificates, first your BC certificate will be generated and then your OBC certificate will be generated.
Difference between Creamy and Non Creamy layer in BC
BC certificate has a Creamy and Non Creamy layer, and now let's go to it,
The government has divided the BC certificate into two layers, Creamy and Non Creamy, In the Creamy layer come those people whose income is more than 8 lakhs, and the source of income is Business, Property, Salary income is added to it, and no income from Agriculture is added to it, in total if your If the income is more than Eight lakh, then you live in the Creamy layer, And if the age of a child is less than 18 years and the income of his parents becomes more than 8 lakhs and he goes to the Creamy layer, then those who come in the creamy layer have to come in the OC Category. Yes, if they do not come, they do not get reservation, And those whose income is less than 8 lakhs, they come in the Non-creamy layer.
And friends, all this information is for Punjab state, maybe there is a difference between these categories in other states, so if you are viewing this blog of mine outside of Punjab state, then you must check once according to your state. Friends, I have also made a video about this information in this blog, that video is also in Punjabi language, so you can watch it on your YouTube channel and in this blog.
